Today...Hurt.
That is about it. Heart was heavy, soul is dreary.
Thinking a lot of my lost friend Wilkerson. I can't seem to let go of the loss.

  1. 20 years spent upon the high seas, living 9,000 miles from home. I longed for family members left behind. A fire ravaged my home leaving me with the clothes on my back overseas. A 7.7 Eathquake takes out a 3 story Christian School, many students perish in their youth. Mt Pintubo, only 14 miles away from my home erupts vertically for 80,000ft Friday 3:15pm we see daylight again Sunday 08:00 we eat can goods, no running water, no power for months. My son born in Guam during Super Typhoon 180MPH winds, the next month we're devastated with 232MPH winds. Apr 18, 1998 my wife, 6 month old son and I have retired and returned to Ohio. May 18, 1998, I watch a falling oak tree fall across my father's mid section killing him instantly. Through it all my faith and belief in a God that has a purpose for each and everyone of us, even today. Today I have my own ministry. I am a County Veterans Service Officer meeting the needs of "my" veterans. Ed Ball, RMC(SW), USN Ret.

  2. I understand how you feel. My ex Spc. Kamisha Block was killed on this day when we were in Iraq. RIP to all our fallen brothers and sisters. It gets easier over time.
