Prayer

Every day I awake, I look up to the lord and I have to give thanks,

For I woke up to live another day. 
I need to get stronger with every single pray. I don't pray enough lord…

 My prayers are overdue.
I would have prayed more lord if I hadn't away strayed from you. 
You died upon the cross to cleanse away all sin,
and sometimes I stray away from you and walk the lines that are thin. 
I want to do right by you lord especially in your eyes;

 I don't want to wonder where I'll end up when I finally die. 
I want to be blessed lord, walking by your side.
I will pull back on my reins lord, when I feel I start to stray,

 I don't want to live the life, of evil, evil ways.
So I promise this to you my lord, I will truly do my best,

I want to be happy lord when I am finally laid to rest.

 The faith I have in you lord isn’t strong as it should be,

 I have broken down lord and now I am on my knees.
I am asking you lord to take this pain away from me;

The pain that I have will not flee far away from me. 
I am begging you lord, please have mercy on me.
I have not been righteous and I have committed plenty sin,

But if I could rewind the hands of time that continues to tic away,

 I would change a lot of things, and live a different way. 
But I cannot change the past that has slipped from my hands,

 But I can change my future if only I had a plan.
So I'm asking you my lord to take me by the hand,

 Bless me with your healing hand and make me a stronger man,

I don’t want to see my children ever again being sad,

Because of my actions I now feel like one awful dad.

I am asking you lord,

 Please help me become a better husband and an AWSOME dad!

I say this prayer to you my lord, knowing you can hear my cry,

I thank you lord for everything and now I say goodnight.
